All the Awesome

All the Awesome

All the Awesome!

If you follow my Five in Tow Facebook page, you know I’m pretty excited about Monday.  Not every Monday, mind you, just this particular Monday.

Even though this Monday is the day after the dreaded time change (grrrr….) I’m still happy because Monday, November 4 is when all the awesome starts.

Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle

On Monday, the Ultimate Healthy Living E-Bundle goes on sale.  For just under $30, we can purchase over $1,000 worth of books on every topic imaginable, from natural gardening to cooking with quinoa.

Cortes

That’s only $0.34 per book.

Ah-ha!  My book-loving self is in heaven!  Some of the books I can’t wait to get my hands on are:

Dehydrating by Wardee from GNOWFGLINS  (It’s a $20.00 book all by itself!)

The UnWired Mom by Sarah Mae

Much Ado About Chicken by Debra from Sweet Kisses and Dirty Dishes

21 Days to a More Disciplined Life by Crystal from Money Saving Mom

Sweet Freedom: Desserts You’ll Love without Wheat, Eggs, Dairy or Refined Sugar by Ricki Heller

Plus, I plan to devour every single one of the books on the Natural Health shelf:

natural-health

I’m also super excited about the bonus offers.  Ya’ll, they are giving away $25 of eco-friendly laundry detergent with each bundle sold!  So think about it this way: you’re getting 1,000 e-books books free with the purchase of laundry soap!  Score!

But that’s not all!  How about a 4-month membership to an online meal planning service?  Or $15 of free skincare from Jenuinely Pure?  Maybe you’ll be excited to receive a free sourdough or kombucha starter, plus $5 to spend on anything at Cultures for Health, one of my favorite online stores!  The bonuses are so outstanding, you’ll have to check them out for yourself here.

The best part is, all of the bonuses are included in the $29.97 price.  But maybe you want an even better deal.  $0.34 per book just doesn’t do it for you.  Well, how would you like to get a  bundle absolutely free?  Just purchase 2 bundles and the third is on the house.  That makes Christmas giving super easy!  Two for them, one for you.  Laundry soap for all.

Life is good.

The only bad thing is, you have to wait until Monday to get it, and you’d better hope I leave you one.  I need all the free laundry soap I can get.  Free Laundry Soap

Pretty Little Handmade Soaps

A few days ago, the mailman came stomping up my front steps.  I was very happy to see him, not only because he was carrying a luxuriously large package, but also because he did not try to shove it into my two-sizes-too-small mailbox.  Not that he’s ever done that before.

Getting packages in the mail is one of my favorite things.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a surprise of if it’s something I ordered myself.  Seeing a brown box with my name on it turns me into a kid again.

But the surprise packages are still the best kind.

And it was a surprise package the mailman brought to me.

The kids opened it, and as soon as they did, my home was filled with warm fragrance.  “What is it?” they asked.

This is what we found: Candy free Easter basket

Do you know what that is?  A whole package of beautiful, handmade soaps and body-pampering products from Sharon Rowland at Lovin’ the Lather.

No one said anything at first.  Then all five children slowly exhaled.  “Oooooooooooh!”

The box was packed full of the most unique and wonderful soaps I’ve ever seen.

Sugar free Easter Ideas

Look! Spring flowers and glitter! And look! COFFEE BEAN soap! I’m going to die.

The twins started stripping off their clothes.  There was some serious bath time in their futures and they were not going to waste any time.

Candy free Easter

Bath bears!

Sharon crafts each soap and body product with the finest ingredients.  They smell, feel, and look luxurious.

Handmade marbled soap

Marbled soap. This is too pretty to use!

My kids love the bunny packaging Sharon used.  Look–Carrots and Cream soap!  How perfect is that for an Easter basket?  Paul, my sensitive skin boy, will be getting that one.  You can’t see it but this little soap is wrapped in a green ribbon and secured with a little orange carrot.  Adorable.  I love Sharon’s attention to detail!  Details make me happy.

Handmade soap

Smells good enough to eat!

Handmade marbled soap

Groovy marbled soap with glitter is Jonathan’s fave.

I love having sugar-free options for Easter baskets.  My kids are just as excited to have their own soaps as they are to have jelly beans.  Actually, I think they’re even more excited because these soaps are all so special, and they know it.

But, Sharon also included some things I won’t share.  Like this:

Bubbling Bath Salts

This. Smells. Amazing.

Those are bubbling bath salts in that green bottle.  See how the lid is open?  That’s because it smells like spearmint, rosemary, and eucalyptus.  I’m tempted to walk around with it under my nose all day.  It’s not at all overpowering like eucalyptus can be.  It’s just…perfect.

I wish I could show you everything Sharon sent!  It is all incredible.  Be sure to visit her site if you’d like to try some of these yourself!  I’ll be in the tub.

*Sharon did not compensate me for this review.  She sent me these products out of the kindness of her heart, and I honestly loved them so much, I had to share them.  I am grateful for her kindness and amazed by her generosity.

Guess what else?  She gave birth to her third baby, Celeste Eliora Hope, on Sunday.  She is going to be one sweet smelling baby!  Congratulations, Sharon!

God Wants You to Fail

God's Vision

A few weeks ago, I was asked to be a contributing writer to the Allume blog.  I looked through the list of contributing writers and swallowed hard.

(Eep).

I was more than a little afraid I’d trip all over my prepositional phrases and flat-out fail in front of all the real writers and big-time bloggers.

As I struggled through writing my first post, God kind of hijacked the whole thing and whispered in my ear, “May you fail.”

That is not what I want God to say to me when I write.  But it was exactly what I needed to hear.

Today, my inaugural post is up.  It’s a little raw and a little real and a little not-what-I’d-planned to write.  It’s about coming to terms with the fact that God wants me to fail.  If you read along, I think you will find that God wants you to fail too.  And it’s okay.

Won’t you join me?

8 Ways to Eat Healthy

8 Ways to Eat Healthy

And for something completely different, I had the privilege of writing a post for the Fit2B blog yesterday.  I’ve been following Beth’s exercises to help heal my diastasis, so when she asked for some help writing a few posts on nutrition, I jumped at the chance.  I have not been writing much about health and nutrition lately because I’m trying to follow a few blogging rules (focus, focus, focus), but if you know me, you know that nutrition is a passion of mine.

But for most of us, eating healthy is hard.

In my post for Beth, I offer 8 tips to help you get a handle on healthy eating.  And guess what?  They’re all easy.

Enjoy the blog hop!  Tomorrow, I’ll be back here with something new.

–Kristen
