In fact, the proceeds of the book above don’t go to buying the Gunderson’s a new car or a the most fashionable new shoes. Nope. They’re using the money to redeem an African brother and sister out of a life of poverty. That just gets to my heart. I hope you’ll visit her and let her know you’ll be praying!

My second prize for the day comes from another West Coast Christian Blogger-buddy, Vicki Lucas. She is a Christian fiction writer–a Christian fantasy writer, to be exact. She wrote the book Toxic for the young adult audience (but since when should the teenagers have all the fun?).

Now, I am a big fan of the fiction genre, and it is my belief that Christians should be more involved in the creative arts, including Christian fiction. I am always a little (a lot) disappointed that the majority of Christian fiction is romance. HOWEVER…I won’t talk about that now.

Instead, let’s take a look into Vicki’s imagination:

Date Night Giveaways: 1K Giveaway Day 5

My final prize for our Date Night Giveaway was donated by my very favorite reader (besides my husband): my mom! She reads every one of my posts and has always supported me (except in this case). My mom is also an avid knitter, crocheter, and purveyor of all things crafty. Growing up, I was always wearing something handmade just for me.
