If you haven’t heard the news, Five in Tow had a pretty great day, for a Monday. My blog was highlighted on WordPress.com as one of the best blogs of the day…or year…or something. See? That’s us, right under a great recipe for eggs, to the right of a review of the Hunger Games.
I am grateful to all of you who keep coming back and reading my stories, and uplifting me with stories of your own. I am often humbled by your comments, encouraged by the way you share my posts, and honored to be a part of a community of readers and bloggers who really care. Thank you!
If you’re new here, and today was the first day you came across a little blog called Five in Tow, I hope you’ll stay. There’s plenty of room.
Sincerely,
Kristen
I found a link to your blog on Facebook today. I’ve been reading it for over an hour. I love your story-telling style- especially the quotes from your kids! I don’t have kids yet, but we’re hoping to start a family soon. Sometimes it terrifies me. I love to read stories of people who enjoy having kids, even though it’s hard work. It’s very encouraging!
Congrats!!! That’s how I found you! 🙂 I hope one day I get Freshly Pressed!
🙂
I just forwarded your blog link to my pregnant cousin, I’m sure she will look forward to the joy of having a baby.
Congrats!! I’m a new follower – looking forward to reading more!
It’s nice to have you here!
It was a great post, you deserved it. Congratulations 🙂
That’s very sweet of you. Thank you!
Reblogged this on Caroline Karimi.
Congratulations! I’m so happy for you!
Thank you! It’s been a joy.
I came through that link, and I’m so glad I did! Your post on counting the hours greatly encouraged me, as I’m a first-time mom of a 5 month old. And I was excited to hear that you’re an MK, as my husband and I taught at a school for missionary kids!
Really? That is very cool. Where did you serve? *runs to check out your blog*
Kiev, Ukraine. It was only for a year and a half, but it was amazing!
Way to go, Kristie. That’s great!!!!! I love you!
Thank you, Grandma! I love you too! Pray that God continues to use this blog to minister to others. It is a privilege to get to use my gifts this way. I keep pinching myself. 🙂
Just found your lovely blog through this Freshly Pressed business 🙂 Congratulations and I look forward to reading!
Thank you for stopping in! Who knew getting “pressed” could be so fun!
That’s how I found you. =;~)
Wonderful! Thanks for reading!
How fun! 🙂
Thank you, Natasha, for reading BEFORE and reading STILL.
yes the title drew me too, great blog we’ll be coming back, well done
Ah, the power of titles! I need to work on that. I used to be a reporter and someone else always wrote the headlines. Even when I thought I’d written a great one, my editors would change it. So now I feel a certain sense of ineptitude whenever I have to write a title on my own! Where’s my editor NOW?!?!
I’m a nana now to 4 grandchildren and the days of having a toddler around our home are long gone (well does a 5 yr. old grandson who visits count?…lol).
This is the first time I’ve visited your blog and I have loved the experience. I’m originally from Vancouver,B.C. so not a million miles from Seattle (now live in the UK).
Keep writing, keep mothering….you are perfect for both 🙂
Thank you for that kind comment. It touches me deeply! My kids are privileged to have a nana close by (Grandma is far away), and I have to say, YES, it counts! They get all filled up with love and goodness every time they go to Nana’s! I’m sure your grandkids know what that’s like. 🙂
Yes. they have a great visit when they visit nana and grandpa…especially as we are now retired. It does get a tad noisy with 5, 8, 9 and 10 year olds in our smallish flat. We had them all here yesterday (including mom & dad) to celebrate our daughter and grandaughter’s birthday. So it was hot dogs and birthday cake all around.
It’s a privlege and a joy to be a nana 🙂
Ahh – congratulations. Your blog was just recommended to me by a friend who emailed me the link. Word gets around! Love your writing. Well done.
That’s wonderful! Be sure to thank your friend for me. And thanks for reading!
Hi Kristen,
Today was the first time I’ve ever read your blog, and it was because it was on the front page of wordpress. When I saw “How to get your toddler to eat anything” – I just had to click!
Congratulations on a great blog! Very entertaining, and so relate-able!
